Out & About! - Ladytron @ Shepherds Bush Empire

Yes, it's another one of my periodic, completely off-topic, non-railway web updates! On Friday I went to see the slightly obscure electropop act Ladytron perform at Shepherds Bush Empire. The band have toured the world and released four studio albums, only to receive mixed reactions and some critical acclaim but somehow they've never quite 'made it' and deserve to be far more successful and well known!

However they seem to have quite a large 'underground' following of those who have discovered just how good some of their music is!

The band is formed of Reuben Wu and Daniel Hunt, with both Helen Marnie and Mira Aroyo providing the amazing deadpan and often very chilling vocals! They performed for over an hour playing some of the material from their latest album Velocifero, as well as previous singles including 'Seventeen' and the epic 'Destroy Everything You Touch' to which the assembled crowd went wild!

Overall, it was an amazing night out and well worth the tiny £14.50 asked for each ticket! We even resisted the urge to go overboard on the merchandise apart from our £15 T-Shirts so it proved to be quite a cheap evening!

Normal OMWB service may continue when I decide to stop having fun and start modelling hehe!
